Make a Toggle for Walking

Make a Toggle for Walking

This will improve your BT performance!

There really is not a toggle to walk but we can set a TOGGLE to turn OFF Running:

Start the system console ( ` )
Type preferences, Advanced Options | Key Aliases | Aliases
Choose an empty slot and enter:

Aliases[XX]=(Command="Toggle bRun",Alias=WalkingToggle) - (XX will vary depending on your system)

Go into Raw Key Bindings within the Advanced section, pick the available key you want and in the column to the right of the key, enter the Alias value you just created: WalkingToggle

You can now switch between Running and Walking

There is
Aliases[xx]=(Command="Button bRun",Alias=Walking)
You press it for walk and run for on release

What is the interest for use your new one ?
What it do for BT ? For use with a bounce bind ?

Hey medor, thanks for your input.
I am no BT expert & find very little help on the topic, anywhere.
As stated in another post, setting a constant walk toggle makes
for a shorter forward dodge that keeps you from overshooting the BT stepping stones.
Your suggestion is a momentary press / release function.
If anyone has any suggestions for navigating BT maps, please let us know.
I hate the damn things.

You mean to not fall from a stone ? You ave just to Duck and can not fall.

Aliases[xx]=(Command="Button bDuck | Axis aUp Speed=-300.0",Alias=Duck)

The bounces is very fast
